Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The following is stored only on your device using encrypted storage:
- API Keys - Encrypted using device-level encryption
- App Settings - Your preferences (theme, default provider, etc.)
- Custom Filter Patterns - User-defined PII filtering rules
- Processed Documents - Temporarily cached, cleared when you close the app
Third-Party Services
When you use ChatinShield to interact with third-party LLM providers, your data goes directly to them. Please review their privacy policies:
Data Security
- Encrypted storage for API keys and custom filters
- System Keychain on iOS for sensitive data
- No debug logging in production builds
- File size limits (10MB/file, 50MB total)
- No hardcoded secrets in application code
Your Data Rights
Since we don't collect data, there's no data to access, modify, or delete from our systems. However, you can:
- Delete local data: Settings → Clear All Keys
- Remove all data: Uninstall the app
Children's Privacy
ChatinShield is not directed to children under 13. Recommended age rating: 13+
